How do I add an emoji, image, video, or GIF to my posts & recognitions?

Add some pizzaz to your posts and recognitions with emojis, videos, GIFs, and more!

Emojis

To add an emoji, simply click the smiley face icon in the description box within your post.

It looks like this:

When you click on the smiley face, an emoji box will pop up. Click any emoji to add it to your post. You can also type to search for a specific emoji.

You can also add emojis when commenting on recognitions to other team members! πŸ€“

Images

To add an image, select the picture frame icon.

It looks like this:

From here you are able to select an image from your device. Once the image has been selected it will be displayed within your post or recognition.

Videos

Cooleaf's auto-embed feature allows you to automatically get the embed code from popular video hosting services like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

To add a video by URL, paste the video URL into your post or recognition. For example, you can copy the YouTube URL for a video that you'd like to share.

Then, simply paste the URL in the description area of your post or recognition. The video file will automatically grab the embed code and display your video right below your post content.

To add a video you have saved to your device, select the paperclip icon.

It looks like this:

From here, you are able to choose a video from your device. Once the video is selected, it will load, and be embedded within your post or recognition.

GIFs

Add GIFs to your posts and recognitions in Cooleaf!

To add GIFs to recognitions and posts, click the GIF icon.

It will look like this:

After selecting the GIF icon, you will need to search for your favorite GIF. Once you've found one you like, select it and it will automatically be embedded in your recognition or post.

To add a GIF in the comments, start by using a resource like GIPHY to find the perfect GIF to add to your comment. Save the image to your computer (make sure to save it as a .gif file!) and use the paperclip icon to attach it to your comment.

Emojis, GIFs, pictures, and videos can go anywhere and everywhere... in posts, recognitions, and even comments! Just remember to keep it work-appropriate. 😎
