The Recognition Received page provides valuable insights into how appreciation is being felt across your organization. This page offers visual trends and detailed information about the recognition your employees are receiving, helping you understand who is being recognized and for what.
Understanding Your Data
Let's explore the different visualizations and information available on the Recognition Received page:
% Receiving Recognition Over Time
This visual allows you to track the percentage of your team members who are receiving recognition compared to the overall organization's rate of receiving recognition over different periods. The calculation for this rate in a given month is based on users who were active on at least one day during that month (e.g., "Of the users who were active for at least one day in May of 2025, 92% received at least one recognition"). This view helps you understand the reach of your recognition program over time, regardless of current active status.
Total Recognitions Received YOY (Year-over-Year)
This view displays the total count of recognitions received per month across multiple years (when data is available). This is particularly useful for identifying year-over-year trends, especially if your organization experiences natural seasonal fluctuations in recognition activity. It also allows for quick identification of "up" or "down" months compared to previous years, prompting further investigation into the underlying reasons for these changes.
Recognitions Received by Monetary Status
This view provides a breakdown of the count of recognitions received with and without points attached. This can help you understand the balance between different types of appreciation being distributed within your organization.
Recognitions Received by Tag(s)
This visual shows the prevalence of specific tags attached to the recognitions that have been received. This view is valuable for understanding which values and behaviors are being most frequently recognized within your organization over time. It can also be used to measure the impact of specific initiatives or values you are trying to promote through targeted tags.

This helps identify individuals who are consistently being recognized and those whose recognition levels may be increasing, decreasing, or remaining stable.

- For users hired before the platform launch who have not yet received recognition, this number represents the days between the platform launch date and the current date.

Filtering Your Recognition Data
To refine the data displayed on this page and focus on specific aspects of recognition received, you can utilize the following filters:
- Date: Filter the data based on specific time periods.
- Leadership Hierarchy Visibility: View recognition data based on different levels within your organization's leadership structure.
- Structure Tag(s) People Visibility: Filter recognition data based on specific structure tags you have implemented (e.g., department, location).
- Tags: Filter recognitions based on specific recognition tags that were used.
- Structure Level(s):Filter the detailed report based on a specific structure level family within your organization.
- Structure Tags: Filter by a specific tag of your chosen Structure Level family.
- Active/Inactive Status: Filter to view recognition data for only active users or only inactive users.
- Role: Filter recognition data based on user roles within the platform.
Important Considerations:
- Team-Based Recognitions: When analyzing aggregate measures, a single recognition issued to multiple recipients will be counted for each individual recipient. This ensures the data accurately reflects the number of individuals being recognized.
- Data Volume: The volume of recognition data can grow rapidly. If you are an organizational administrator and are experiencing performance issues or incomplete data, try filtering down the date range or the size of the group you are viewing. If your current selection exceeds the maximum data limit, an "i" icon will appear when you hover over the visual.
- Filtering by Structure Level: Exercise caution when using the "Structure Level(s)" filter in the "Recognition Received Report." By default, this filter is set to single-select and defaults to your organization's "Required/Primary" structure tag (often location). If you change this to a different structure level tag, the data will only reflect users who have been assigned a tag within that specific structure level. This may not represent your entire user base. You can identify "Required" structure levels (which include all users) versus "Optional" structure levels (which only include users with a tag in that level) within the filter's dropdown menu.
By understanding and utilizing the insights on the Recognition Received page, you can gain a deeper understanding of how appreciation is being distributed within your organization, identify key contributors and those who are frequently recognized, and foster a more appreciated and engaged workforce.
