The Bulk Recognition Tool makes it easy to send multiple recognitions at once—perfect for celebrating large groups, awarding project teams, or catching up on overdue shoutouts. This article walks you through everything you need to know to successfully use the tool.
Where to Find the Bulk Recognition Tool
- Navigate to the Manager Panel.
- Select Awards.
- Look for the Bulk Recognition button in the top-right corner.
Creating a Bulk Recognition
Choose an Award
You’ll first be prompted to select which award the bulk recognitions should come from.
- You will only see award types you have permission to use.
Upload your Bulk Recognition File
Before uploading your list, we strongly recommend downloading the provided recognition CSV template.
The template must include four required headers:
- name
- employee number
- points
Important Rules for the File
- Name field is optional and can be left blank.
- Every person must have a point value, even if the value is 0.
- Point values can be different for each person/line, but have to stay within the Award limits.
- Each row must include either an email or an employee number
- All four columns must remain in the template, even if some fields are blank.
- Make sure your file is saved as a supported format (CSV or Excel).
Once complete, upload your file and select Continue to move on.
Validate Your Upload
After the file uploads, the platform will validate it.
- Successful entries are listed clearly.
- Any errors (such as invalid emails or point values that exceed an award’s cap) will appear as Failed Records and won’t be loaded to the form/recognition.
- You can download the Record Status Report to see detailed explanations on each failed record and update your file accordingly.
You can continue with the successful entries even if some failed.

Draft Your Recognition Message
Next, you’ll create the content that will appear in each recognition.
- Write your full recognition message
- Select an interest tag
All recipients will receive the same recognition message and the points indicated in your file.
Choose Your Visibility Settings
Publish post to: Everyone
- Appears on the main feed if the award type is public
- Shows that you recognized multiple employees
- Point values will not be displayed, especially if values vary by person.
Publish post to: Selected People / Privately
- Only the selected recipients will see the post on the main feed.
- Shows that you recognized multiple employees
- Point values will not be displayed, especially if values vary by person.
Publish post to: Don’t Publish
- No feed post is created.
- Employees still receive an individual recognition email.
Regardless of your choice, each employee always receives their own recognition email.
Send the Recognitions
Click Recognize to complete the process.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once all recognitions have been processed.
- If you're recognizing a large group, this process may take a few moments to complete in the background.
- Recognitions through the Bulk Recognition Tool will appear as a recognition from the person completing the bulk recognition.
Need Bulk Recognition Sent From Someone Else?
If a recognition needs to come from someone other than you, your Client Success Manager can upload it on your behalf.
Send:
- The completed bulk file
- The recognition message content
- The tag
- The award type
- Whether you'd like a public post, private post, or no post
