How to manually add data to the Health app
The Health app automatically counts your steps, walking, and running distances. And, if you have an Apple Watch, it automatically tracks all of your Activity data. If you're already using another app to track your health, you can try manually adding data from the app to Health, so all your information is in one place.
Enter information about your health
- Open the Health app on your iPhone or iPad.
- If you're on your iPhone, tap the Browse tab. If you're on your iPad, tap sidebar to open the sidebar.
- Tap a category, like Activity.
- Tap a subcategory, like Steps.
- Tap Add Data in the upper-right corner.
- Enter the date, time, and data for that activity.
- When you're finished, tap Add.
FitBit
- From the Today tab
in the Fitbit app, tap the + icon in the lower right
Activity.
- Tap a recent activity, or search for an exercise type.
- Enter the activity details, and tap Add or Save.
Garmin
You cannot manually add steps to your Garmin device or to the Garmin Connect app. The Garmin device automatically tracks steps using its built-in accelerometer. You can, however, manually add activities like walks or runs to your Garmin Connect app, but this doesn't allow you to add steps separately from other activity metrics like distance or pace
Google Device
Add info you didn't track with Fit
If you don't have your device with you as you walk, run, or bike, you can add those activities to Google Fit later. You can also add weight changes or activities that Fit doesn't automatically track (like weightlifting, rowing, or baseball).
- On your Android phone, open the Google Fit app Google Fit.
- At the bottom right, tap Add Add data.
- Tap Add weight Weight or Add activity Activity.
- Enter your information and tap Save.
