What is My Engagement?
My Engagement gives you a personalized view of your recognition, engagement activity, and skills reflected in the recognition you have received.
The dashboards can help you:
- Reflect on how you engage with and recognize others
- Review the recognition you have received
- Identify themes in the contributions others value
- Explore skills reflected in your recognition messages
- Consider opportunities for continued engagement and development
The experience is personal to you. You can view only your own individual dashboard information. My Engagement is also available on mobile devices.
Why do I have these dashboards?
Recognition and engagement activity can reveal meaningful patterns that may be difficult to see one interaction at a time.
Your dashboards bring those patterns together to help you understand:
- How consistently you recognize others
- How your engagement changes over time
- Which recognition tags or themes appear most often
- What others recognize you for
- Which skills are reflected in your recognition messages
These dashboards are intended to support reflection and conversation. They provide one perspective on your activity and contributions, not a complete assessment of your performance or abilities.
How do I access My Engagement?
- Sign in to the platform.
- Open your Profile from the user panel.
- Select My Engagement.
- Choose the dashboard you want to explore.
You may also see a link to My Engagement on the homepage.
What can I explore?
My Engagement contains three dashboard pages:
- My Engagement
- My Recognitions Received
- My Skills AI
Use the selections within the dashboard to move between the available pages.
My Engagement
The My Engagement dashboard focuses on how you participate in recognition and engage with the platform.
You can explore:
- Recognition you have given
- Recognition activity by month and year
- Your cumulative recognition activity
- Recognition by tag
- Words and themes that appear in the recognition you give
- Social engagement, including sign-ins, likes, comments, and posts
- Your consistency in recognizing others
- Comparisons with organization-wide recognition averages
How can I use this information?
Use this dashboard to reflect on how recognition and engagement fit into the way you work.
Consider:
- Am I recognizing others consistently or primarily around major milestones?
- Are there teammates, partners, or types of contributions I may be overlooking?
- Which values or recognition themes appear most often in the recognition I give?
- Could I make my recognition more meaningful by explaining the person’s actions and impact?
- Are there opportunities for me to participate more actively in posts, comments, or other community activity?
The organization-wide average provides additional context. It is not intended to be a score or requirement. Roles, opportunities to collaborate, and working patterns may differ across the organization.
Ideas for your next step
After reviewing your dashboard, you could:
- Recognize an everyday contribution that may not otherwise be visible
- Add more detail to future recognition messages
- Acknowledge both the outcome and the behaviors that made it possible
- Look for opportunities to recognize people outside your immediate team
- Engage with a post or celebration you may otherwise have passed by
My Recognitions Received
The My Recognitions Received dashboard helps you reflect on how others have recognized your contributions.
You can explore:
- Recognition you have received
- Recognition received by month and year
- Your cumulative recognition history
- Recognition by tag
- Words and themes within the recognition you have received
- Comparisons with organization-wide recognition averages
How can I use this information?
Rather than focusing only on the amount of recognition you have received, look for patterns in why people recognize you.
Consider:
- What contributions are mentioned repeatedly?
- Which strengths or behaviors do others appear to value?
- Are there values or themes that consistently appear?
- Have the themes changed as your responsibilities or projects have changed?
- Is there positive feedback that could inform a development conversation?
Recognition is one source of feedback. It may help surface strengths and examples of your contributions, but it does not represent every aspect of your work.
Ideas for your next step
You could use these insights to:
- Capture examples of your contributions and their impact
- Reflect on strengths you want to use more intentionally
- Identify work that feels especially meaningful
- Prepare examples for a development conversation
- Thank the people who recognized you and continue building those working relationships
My Skills AI
My Skills AI analyzes the recognition messages you receive and identifies skills reflected in those messages.
You can explore:
- Skills recently demonstrated within the last 30 days
- Skill cluster representation over time
- Skill cluster leaderboards
- Progress toward skill goals
- Recognition messages associated with identified skills
Recent skills
The recent-skills view highlights skills reflected in recognition you have received within the last 30 days.
Use this view to consider:
- Which skills have appeared recently?
- What work or contributions led to those recognitions?
- Are new skills appearing as your responsibilities change?
- Are there strengths you could apply to another project?
Skills and skill clusters
Individual skills are organized into broader skill clusters. This allows you to explore both specific capabilities and larger themes over time.
The initial experience includes 38 core competencies and can also support organization-specific skills and definitions.
How are skills identified?
Skills are inferred from the language used in recognition messages. When a message contains information associated with a skill, that skill may appear in your reporting.
Not every recognition will have an associated skill. A message may celebrate or thank someone without including enough detail to identify a specific skill.
You can review the recognition messages connected to an identified skill to better understand why it appears in your results.
What is a confidence rating?
Each identified skill includes a confidence rating representing how strongly the recognition message indicates that skill.
You can adjust the confidence filter to focus on higher-confidence matches.
A confidence rating reflects the connection between the recognition message and the identified skill. It is not a rating of your ability or proficiency.
What does progress to goal mean?
Skill progress shows how frequently a skill has been identified in the recognition you have received.
The initial progress goal is based on five recognitions associated with a skill. This is intended to provide a starting point for reflection and conversation, not a definitive measure of proficiency or mastery.
How can I use My Skills AI?
Use My Skills AI as a prompt for exploration rather than as a formal skills assessment.
Consider:
- Which skills appear most frequently?
- What examples led others to recognize those skills?
- Are there strengths I could apply to new responsibilities?
- Have new skills appeared as my work has evolved?
- Is there a skill I want to demonstrate more intentionally?
- What experience, feedback, or learning could support my development?
Ideas for your next step
After reviewing My Skills AI, you could:
- Open the supporting recognition messages and capture specific examples
- Identify one strength you want to apply more intentionally
- Choose one skill you want to develop through an upcoming project
- Ask your manager or a trusted colleague for additional feedback
- Use the insights to begin a career or development conversation
- Write detailed recognition messages that make other people’s demonstrated skills visible
Keep the information in context
Your My Engagement dashboards are designed to help you recognize patterns, reflect on your engagement, and ask better questions about your development.
They should not be viewed as:
- A complete record of your contributions
- A performance rating
- A measure of skill mastery
- A requirement to match organization-wide averages
- A replacement for feedback and development conversations
Recognition data reflects what others chose to recognize and how those messages were written. Contributions that were not recognized through the platform may not appear in these dashboards.
Frequently asked questions
Can other employees see my dashboard?
The Individual Contributor experience shows you your own dashboard information.
Why doesn’t every recognition appear in My Skills AI?
A recognition appears in Skills AI when a skill has been identified within the message. Not every recognition message will have an associated skill.
Does a confidence rating measure how proficient I am?
No. The confidence rating represents how strongly the recognition message indicates the identified skill. It does not rate your proficiency.
Does reaching a skill goal mean I have mastered that skill?
No. The initial goal represents five recognitions associated with the skill. It is a visual starting point for reflection and conversation, not a measure of mastery.
Why might my results differ from someone else’s?
Your dashboard reflects your own recognition and engagement activity. The information may be affected by which contributions were recognized and the amount of detail included in those recognition messages.
How often should I review the dashboards?
There is no required schedule. Consider reviewing the dashboards when reflecting on recent work, preparing for a development conversation, setting personal goals, or looking for ways to engage and recognize others more intentionally.
